Habema's Free Health Tretment Made Kelanungin Resident Happy

PUNCAK - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Friday, 27 September 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Gome Post led by First Lieutenant Galang, conducted a Territorial Activity entitled "Free Health Treatment" for a resident from Kelanungin Village, Gome District. This activity, a testament to their dedication, helped the residents with difficulties in the health sector, one of the community's basic needs.

Emphasizing the Soldiers' unwavering commitment, the Commander of the 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. This message was not just words but an immediate call to action, a reassurance of the Soldiers' steadfast commitment to the community. Therefore, on Friday, the Soldiers took advantage of their routine security duty by helping a Kelanungin resident who had an incident and suffered a laceration to his head due to being hit by zinc at home. The Gome Post, which has a Medical Team, immediately responded to the arrival of the resident, Desmira Waker, by conducting an examination and treatment. This initiative was not just about the Soldiers' commitment, but also about the resilience and unity of the Kelanungin community in the face of challenges.

During the treatment, the Medical Team also fostered communication and interaction with Desmira and his family. This interaction not only provided the Soldiers with updates about the security conditions in the Kelanungin Village but also brought a smile to Desmira's face. After the treatment, the Medical Team provided Desmira with free medicine for the next few days to aid his recovery. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Desmira expressed his joy, saying, "Thank you, Commander 323. I feel healthier now. God bless." This moment of joy and relief for Desmira is a testament to the positive impact of the Task Forces' initiative on the individual.

After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 323 Task Forces’ initiative to help treat Kelanungin resident. His words: "The 323 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to helping the residents with difficulties in the health sector to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region's future positively. More importantly, it makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in community development.
