On Sunday, 30 June 2024, an incident occurred near the 509 Task Forces Post, precisely in the Mamba Village, Sugapa District. A pick-up truck belonging to a Mamba resident stuck on the side of the Mamba main road. With enthusiasm and dedication, the TNI Soldiers at the Post immediately moved to help with the vehicle pulling process.

The Commander of the 509 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, has emphasized to the Soldiers that helping the local community's difficulties is part of the effort to create a safe and peaceful situation in Papua. Therefore, when the vehicle stuck incident occurred on the Sunday morning, the Soldiers immediately moved to mobilize Vehicle Experts at the Mamba Post as well as a Tactical Vehicle which had vehicle pulling equipment.

The incident occurred due to the heavy rain that poured down on the Mamba area since Saturday night and stopped in the Sunday morning. Mr. Samuel Turnib drove his vehicle out of his house carrying harvested vegetables which would be taken to the Sugapa Market. Due to the heavy rain overnight, the relatively slippery road conditions caused the wheels of Mr Samuel's car to slip and fell into the side of the road. By continuing to prioritize security aspects, the Soldiers who had been assigned to help pull the vehicle immediately took action to attach a rope to the vehicle. Finally, after not too long, the Soldiers managed to pull the vehicle out of the side of the road. As an appreciation, Mr. Samuel Turnib, said, "Thank you very much, Bapak-Bapak Tentara (Army Soldiers). My car is successfully pulled and I am able to go to the Sugapa Market to sell the harvested vegetables."

"The initiative of the 509 Task Forces to help the Mamba resident is a form of TNI’s concern in supporting efforts to accelerate development in the Papua region, " said the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
