    Mumugu Resident Enthusiastically Placed The Indonesian Flag With Habema Soldiers

    NDUGA - The Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) HABEMA in Papua, is currently conducting the mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Wednesday, 7 August 2024.

    To welcome the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, residents of Mumugu Village, Krepkuri District, together with Soldiers of the 503 Task Forces, carried out the installation of the Indonesian Flag in public areas and on public roadsides. During the installation, the Soldiers took the time to conduct Social Communication (Komsos) with the Mumugu residents about the importance of maintaining regional security to support development in the Papua region.

    The active Komsos activities, according to the 503 Task Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, is an implementation of the HABEMA (Harus Berhasil Maksimal – Must Succeed Maximally) commitment in conducting inclusive Komsos with all residents of the Papua region. The Komsos activity, this time, was carried out by the Soldiers from the Batas Batu Post with their leader, First Lieutenant Galih Nugroho. The well-established territorial development between the Soldiers and the community leaders of Mumugu Village is needed to carry out the Indonesian Flag installation safely and smoothly.

    The Indonesian Flag installation by the Mumugu residents and the Soldiers was a historic moment, marking the first time it had been carried out in the village. This success is the result of intensive social communication by an Officer from the Batas Batu Post, Second Lieutenant Yudi Riandoko, with Community Leaders of the village. Finally, upon the decision on the time and location for the installation, the residents conducted the installation enthusiastically with the Soldiers. One of the residents, Menja Firkom, enthusiastically said, "Commander 503, let's install the Indonesian Flags together. Long live Indonesia." This historic moment filled the residents with a sense of pride and unity.

    After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 503 Task Forces’ initiative to hold the installation of the Indonesian Flags with the community in Mumugu Village. His words.

    "The 503 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive social communication with all parties to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the importance of such initiatives and the impact they have on the region's development.
